on the basis of various factors, namely: transformer mounting
location (pole, pad or underground vault), type of insulation
(liquid-immersed or dry-type), number of phases (single-phase or
three-phase), voltage class, and Basic impulse Insulation Level
(BIL). Under voltage class, the substation capacity depends on the
purpose it is being installed for i.e. in case of Commercial and
Industrial (C&I) phases the electrical substation installed has
to be a high capacity one, but a lower capacity counterpart is
suitable for domestic phases depending on whether it is being
installed for an urban, suburban or rural geographical location.
